Jacky Ickx Wins the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the Sixth Time

The 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 35th Grand Prix of Endurance, took place on 10 and 11 June 1967. It was also the seventh round of the 1967 World Sportscar Championship. Jacky Ickx, a Belgian driver, has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans six times, a record that stands to this day. In 1967, he won the race with a Ford Mk IV along with AJ Foyt, establishing the first 5000 km distance record. British driver Derek Bell and German driver Frank Biela also won the race, with Italian driver Emanuele Pirro finishing third.

Ford dominated the race from the start, with Bruce McLaren taking pole position with a record lap of 3:24.4.
